Samuel Yeboah happy to end goal drought in Berekum

"It is good to score. As a striker you have to score." - Samuel Yeboah

Yeboah ended his seven games goal drought at Berekum Chelsea as his second half goal sent the Phobians to the top of the log sheet.

The goal is the former Hearts of Lions hit-man third goal in all competition and he believes finding his scoring form will boost his confidence.

“It is good to score as a striker you have to score. I think it’s about three weeks that I have not scored I was injured for some time and I just came and it will bring back my confidence, and the performance will go high,” Yeboah said after the game.

“As a striker if you go in and grab a goal it will give you more confidence to score every time and that is what I’m looking forward to do.”

The 29 year-old forward also called on the club’s teeming fans to support the team in good and bad times;

“What I want to tell them [fans] is that they should keep on supporting the team, they should put what happened last week behind them.

“They should come to the stadium in their numbers and support us, I know is very difficult because we disappointed them the other time but come on is only one game and we have a lot of games ahead, even if we win that game it can’t give us the trophy. It is important to win the others games that can give us the trophy so they should keep on supporting the team and we will also do our best to make them happy,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will host Hasaacas in their next Premier League.
