Ghanaian star out for three weeks with a torn biceps femoris

Kwadwo Asamoah suffered an injury blow on Thursday and is set to be out for up to three weeks

Juventus player Kwadwo Asamoah is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks after sustaining an injury on Thursday.

The player who has suffered a series of injuries in the past year recently made a return and played in the Italian Champions’ Copa Italia win against Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan on Wednesday.

Asamoah underwent medical checks on his new setback on Friday and the club reports the Black Stars midfielder has suffered a torn biceps femoris in his right thigh.

The 27-year-old is expected to miss the Italian Serie A game against Chievo on Sunday, Genoa game, Frosinone fixture and the Serie A game against Napoli. Kwadwo Asamoah could also miss the Bologna game.

Juventus also gave an injury update on player Mario Mandzukic who has a torn gemellus muscle.
