Asamoah Gyan

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan’s move to Reading FC has fell through after the player failed his medical at the English Championship club.

According to getreading.co.uk, Gyan who was put through his paces on Monday did not prove enough fitness that would see him through eight weeks of Championship football.

The 30-year-old who confirmed to Sky Sports News HQ that he and his representatives were looking at transfer offers in England currently plays for Chinese Super League team Shanghai SIPG.

Victor Valdes

The goalkeeper performed so well for Barcelona during his days in the Spanish La Liga. The Spain international who became a free agent after his days with the La Liga champions failed his medical at AS Monaco which led to his transfer move to the French Ligue 1 breaking down.

Demba Ba

This was one of the hottest transfer news considering how it panned out. Stoke City could have been the club to sign Demba Ba for the English Premier League. However, the deal broke down after the Senegal international failed a medical at the Britania Staduim.

Demba Ba still completed his transfer move from Hoffenheim to England, joining West Ham United. The player scored seven goals in 12 appearances before moving on to Newcastle United.

Ruud van Nistelrooy

One of the most prolific strikers to have played for Manchester United. Prior to him completing a transfer move to Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy had a year early failed his medical with the Old Trafford club.

The Dutchman was unfit as he was recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered weeks before his medial. Van Nistelrooy joined Manchester United on a then British record transfer fee a year later from PSV.

Loic Remy

Loic Remy was destined to play for Liverpool until he failed to cross the final hurdle, a football medical.

The France international’s transfer move from Queens Park Rangers to Liverpool fell through. The player however said the claims from Liverpool were not ‘very honest’.

English Premier League club Chelsea came to the rescue for Remy who has now joined Crystal Palace.
