Hearts of Oak continued with their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2016/17 Ghana  Premier league after beating lower-tier side Swedru Professionals 3-0 in a friendly game at Swedru Park on Sunday.

The Phobians who have qualified to the semi-finals of the ongoing  G-6 tourney after Aduana Stars defeated Medeama SC 2-0 in Kumai  on Sunday unsettled the lower division side as they mounted intense pressure on them.

Hearts of Oak scored the first goal just two minutes into the game, after Musah Ibrahim capitalized on a defensive blunder on the part of the home side.

Twelve minutes later, Thomas Abbey doubled the Phobians lead after he neatly connected home Patrick Razak’s cut-back pass.

Swedru Professionals came in strongly in the second half but they failed to trouble the Phobians defense led by Vincent Atinga.

With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Thomas Abbey grabbed his brace and Hearts of Oak third goal.
