Since AFRIMA was established in 2014, this is the first time the biggest music event in Africa is being held outside Nigeria.

It seeks to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting Africa's cultural heritage.

Six Ghanaian musicians; Sarkodie, M.naifest, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, KiDi, Guilty Beatz and Kuami Eugene picked up top awards on the night.

And Wiyaala, DJ Switch, King Promise and Stonebwoy were among the top African artistes who put up a performance on the night.

1. Best Reggae or Dancehall Artiste of The Year- Stonebwoy

2. Best Male in Inspirational Music- Sarkodie

3. Most Promising Artiste- Kuami Eugene

4. African Legend of The Year- Osibisa

5. Best Artiste Duo or Group Africa Hiphop- M.anifest ft, King Promise

6. Song of The Year- Akwaaba by GuiltyBeatz ft. Mr Eazi, Pappy Kojo and Patapa

7. Best African Collaboration- Akwaaba by GuiltyBeatz ft. Mr Eazi, Pappy Kojo and Patapa

8. Video of The Year- Gringo by Shatta Wale
