Facebook outsmarts Microsoft

Artificial Intelligence is one of Facebook’s newest area of focus, considering the large amount of money it has allocated for research and development.

In an official announcement, the social media Giant informed Tech reporters of its new additions.Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) team has taken on-board some egg-heads to boost its research.

Sources say some of the new staff, are former employees of Software Giant Microsoft. Léon Bottou and Anitha Kannan moved over to Facebook from Microsoft Research

Another top catch is Michael Auli, who finished his post-doctoral work at Microsoft Research.Facebook also lured Laurens van der Maaten and Nicolas Usunier, both professors at European universities.
