Marco Polo Del Nero returns as CBF president

Marco Polo Del Nero has returned as president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) after interim chief Marcus Antonio Vicente stepped down.

Del Nero, 74, resigned as a member of the FIFA Executive Committee in November last year and left the CBF presidency the following month.

Vicente was the interim president, but it was announced on Tuesday that Del Nero was back at the helm.

Del Nero, who succeeded Jose Maria Marin as CBF president in April 2014, was indicted by United States officials in November.
