Drake announced Connect, which is the social media element of Apple Music, and said he was releasing his next album through Connect. (But he gave no further details on it). The Weeknd performed his new track “Can’t Feel My Face” to close out the event, according to HHE.

There was said to be bad blood between the two Torontonians because The Weeknd didn’t end up signing with OVO. But that’s in the past, and the artists are now both proud members of Team Apple.

Apple Music launches on June 30. It will be $9.99 a month after a three month free trial period.

Apple is said to be in talks to release Kanye West’s new album SWISH exclusively on Apple Music – much like the last U2 album was exclusively embedded in iTunes.

This would be quite a blow to TIDAL, since West is both an artiste owner of Jay Z’s streaming service and Hov’s good buddy.
