Coach Evans Adotey gives assurance that his side will keep the 5-1 scoreline intact

The Ghana Black Maidens have touched down in Ghana after a significant 5-1 victory over their Gambian counterparts.

The Ghana u-17 female national team are looking forward to qualify to for the 2018 u-17 world cup in Uruguay and have started in an emphatic manner.

The coach of the side Evans Adotey after the game spoke to the media and he did say he was proud of his side. He did acknowledge that his opponents were a good side and the score line was flattery.

“I am very proud of my team because we kept our ambitions reasonable in the aspect of securing victory. I played against a very good side although the score line was large.”

The Maidens will face The Gambians in the return leg next week and Evans Adotey did say that he was not going to underrate his opponents to be played at the Cape Coast Stadium.

“We need to make sure we keep either keep the score line intact or we add to it.”

The team have currently moved to Prapram to camp and prepare for the 2nd leg.

Ghana are set to face Djibouti in another two legged tie once they go past The Gambia.

The 2018 FIFA u-17 women’s world cup is will be hosted in Uruguay from the 13th November to 1st December,2018.
