Delali Brempong elected NDC candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election

Brempong was the party's parliamentary candidate in the 2016 election.

He lost to Mr Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, whose death has necessitated a by-election scheduled for January 31, 2019.

Delali Brempong polled 415 votes, while his other contenders, Selassie Agbo and Ekow Acquah polled 115 and 119 votes respectively.

Meanwhile the governing new patriotic Party has elected the wife of the late Agyarko, Madam Lydia Alhassan, as its parliamentary candidate.

She secured 441 votes out of the 668 valid votes cast to beat her contenders.
