NDC is the cause of hardships in Ghana - Bawumia
The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the worsening economic situation in the country could be attributed to the poor leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, "We can only bring an end to the hardships we face today by going out to vote and voting massively for Nana Akufo-Addo."
Addressing party supporters as part of his campaign tour in the Asikuma and Breman Bedum, in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa constituency of the Central Region, he said, "An NPP government under Nana Akufo-Addo will usher in a new period of economic renewal, development and jobs; we have done it before and we will do it again!"
He said, "The problem is not a lack of resources, this a land of resources but the real problem is that those who have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing our resources, mismanage and steal them, and this situation cannot continue any longer."
“The situation we see now is that though there is a lot of money in our country but this money remains at the top, it does not come down and those at the top keep stealing it or stashing it in London, Dubai or Burkina Faso. This is what we want to change. We want the economy to work for you and we want you to enjoy the benefits of the resources of this land and your hard work”, he noted.
