David Moyes has disclosed that he didn’t want to lose Andre Ayew, but the Ghanaian midfielder forced his way out of the club.
The 28-year-old midfielder completed an 18m pound summer move to his former side Swansea City from West Ham United after struggling to cement a permanent place in the Hammers.
However, he was on cloud 9 when Swansea City defeated West Ham United 4-1 last weekend in the English Premier League.
Andre Ayew didn’t enjoy much playing time under David Moyes, after the Scot took over from Slaven Bilic.
Moyes has stated that Andre Ayew showed that he wasn’t ready to stay at West Ham, after the exit of the Ghanaian.
"Andre Ayew did well enough for Swansea but don’t forget that he didn’t want to stay," he told fans in the London Evening Standard Column.
"At the time we weren’t that keen to lose anyone to our competitors but he made it 100 per cent clear he did not want to be at West Ham any longer."
Andre Ayew scored 12 goals in 50 appearances after making his record-breaking £20million move to the club.
