The player started the game against Philadelphia and played for an hour before being replaced by Zach Carrol.

Baah, speaking after the game said of his New York Red Bulls team:

“I think it was good. We just came to play really quick, really fast and if the opponent was trying to come at us, we were also willing to meet the fight.

“It was pretty intense especially in the first half but generally it was a very good game, physical, very quick and very technical. Generally it was a very good game and I enjoyed it.”

Gideon Baah had a confrontation with one of his defending partners and when asked about it after the game, the Ghanaian defender explained:

“We had one agenda tonight, not to concede any goal. With me as a defender and all those guys in the backline, we did our job really well not to concede any goal.

“The rest we might sort it out in the dressing room. The defence line came out with an agenda not to concede any goal and truly we didn’t concede any goal.”

The Major League Soccer season starts on March 6 and Gideon Baah believes his team are ready for the task ahead.
