However, the curfew for the Bunkprugu Township from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am is effective Tuesday, July 12 2016.

A statement signed by the Minister said the curfew was renewed upon advice from the various Regional Security Councils and Executive Instrument.

It urged chiefs, opinion leaders, the youth and the people of these areas to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them.

The statement said meanwhile, there was total ban on all persons from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon and that any person found flouting the order would be arrested and prosecuted.
