2) Burning Love (2013) One of Nanjiani's first (and funniest) ways of showing off his talents was in the second season of Burning Love, an incredibly funny, online-only (at first) spoof of The Bachelor. Nanjiani first appeared in the show's second season, as a potential suitor for June Diane Raphael's Bachelorette-esque character. This show exclusively aired its first run on Yahoo!, which is the most 2012-2013 thing you've ever heard in your entire life. Stream Burning Love Here Yahoo!

3) Portlandia (2011-2018) It's hard to think that anyone could've been a bigger support/influence on Nanjiani's career than the fantastic Portlandia duo of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. He appeared in numerous skits throughout the 8-season run of this very funny comedy series starring the SNL fan favorite and the Sleater-Kinney rocker. Stream Portlandia Here IFC

4) Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016) This super crude comedy is actually quite funny, and Kumail's small role in it turned out to be a scene-stealer. And with a cast led by Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza, and Anna Kendrick, that's actually a rather herculean task. As a sexually-charged nude masseuse, Nanjiani's character reminds a little bit of Hank Azaria's Along Came Polly scuba instructor which might be somewhat by design. 5) Central Intelligence (2016) For an indication of just how far Kumail's career has come in a relatively short period of time, look no further than his one-scene role in Central Intelligence back in 2016. He played an Airport Security guard who Kevin Hart's character had to distract with a very lewd story while The Rock does what The Rock does (steal a plane). Stream Central Intelligence Here Warner Bros.

6) The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail (2014-2016) During the middle of his career, Kumail and one of his closest friends, fellow comedian Jonah Ray, hosted this version of their Los Angeles stand-up showcase for TV on Comedy Central. If you like stand-up, this is a good way to see some of your favorite comediansMarc Maron, Ilana Glazer, John Mulaney, and Hannibal Buress are just a few of the participantstesting out some weird stuff in a back room setting. 7) Silicon Valley (2014-2019) Fair to say you've probably heard of this one? Kumail's role only got bigger and bigger throughout the course of HBO's Silicon Valley, which satirized the tech industry enough to eventually become one of the most beloved sitcoms of the 2010s. His constant bickering with Martin Starr's Gilfoyle is the stuff TV comedy legend is made of. Stream Silicon Valley Here HBO

8) Stuber (2019) Stuber is a perfectly acceptable movie that will probably serve as something of a bridge when we look back at Nanjiani's career 10 years down the line. It has its moments for action and moments for comedy, but mostly the movie exists to prove that Kumail is still ready to claim leading roles in his post-Big Sick career. Stuber also looks like a solid prologue for The Lovebirds, which looks to strike a similar action/comedy vibe. Stream Stuber Here 20th Century Fox

9) The Twilight Zone (2019) Last year, Kumail got to play the lead role in the very first episode of Jordan Peele's heavily-hyped reboot of The Twilight Zone; Peele is the kind of filmmaker that pretty much everyone in the industry would kill to work with at this point. Anyway, Nanjiani plays a comedian in his episode desperate to get laughsso desperate, that, well...you'll just have to watch the episode to see. Stream The Twilight Zone Here CBS All Access

10) Men in Black: International (2019) OK. So. Despite a stacked cast (Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson) last year's attempt to reboot the Men in Black franchise was mostly bland and forgettable. That is, except for Kumail's turn as Pawny, a cute little alien guy who mostly provides the comic relief to Thomspson and Hemsworth's comic relief. His character is basically last year's version of what Frank the Pug (Robert Smigel) used to be in the Will Smith Men in Black movies. Stream Men in Black: International Here Sony Pictures
