The coach of Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed that he is looking forward to West Africa Football Academy(WAFA) trainer Akakpo Patron arriving as assistant coach.
Earlier on, both Coach Steve Pollack and Akapko Patron reported to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and WAFA respectively for pre-season.
However, Coach Akakpo Patron is set to join the Porcupine Warriors as confirmed by Coach Steve Pollack but then the right procedure will need to be followed before he finally joins the MTN FA Cup winners for the coming season.
“We have an assistant coach but we are going to do things the right way. He has given a one month notice to WAFA and if they see the need to take his place he could be here in a week or a month.
“He will be here for sure” Steve Pollack ended
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will compete in the CAF Confederation which will see the club appear in for the first time in the tournament since 2008.
Akakpo Patron being involved with the team will look to Kumasi Asante Kotoko technical team a huge boost as they look to challenge for the league and the Confederations Cup next season.
