The event which was attended by Dr Elton Fedrick Afari, CEO of Equity Health Insurance and Mrs Acheampomaah Opoku Afari, managing Director of Shield Pension Trust from Lifepath Holdings, brought together key healthcare providers, suppliers, and manufacturers from the UK, offering new opportunities to integrate UK health technology into Ghana’s healthcare system,

According to the CEO of Equity Health Insurance, Dr Elton Fredrik Afari, one of the significant engagements was with Scientific Laboratory Supplies, a leading provider of laboratory equipment, which is expected to enhance diagnostic services at MedcarePlus Clinics and Mini Clinic.

Additionally, Lifepath Holdings , spearheaded by Dr Afari, initiated discussions with Halewood Chemicals Group for pharmaceutical supplies and Regenerus Lab for potential partnerships in preventative health solutions.

In a significant development, Lifepath Holdings begun talks with Article 25, a UK-based architectural firm renowned for designing healthcare facilities and schools for special needs children. The collaboration, spearheaded by Shield Pension Trust, aims to develop world-class elderly care homes in Ghana, providing high-quality residential care for retired pensioners.

Speaking on the impact of the Roadshow, a representative from Lifepath Holdings described the experience as "transformative," emphasizing the potential to reshape healthcare delivery in both Ghana and the UK.

"This engagement with UK healthcare providers has opened doors for innovative solutions that will significantly benefit the Ghanaian healthcare system. We are committed to driving sustainable change and ensuring access to high-quality medical care," he stated.

The UK Health Roadshow underscores the growing cooperation between the UK and Ghana in healthcare, with a focus on leveraging advanced medical technologies, supply chain improvements, and infrastructural development to enhance patient care.
