Meet Naji-lal: 24-year-old visionary building Ghana's first truly green communities
At just 24, while many of her peers are still mapping out their careers, a young Ghanaian entrepreneur is already reshaping the country’s property landscape with bold, future-driven ideas.
Naji-lal, founder of ArXyn Development, is on a mission to prove that sustainable housing doesn’t have to be out of reach. Her vision: to create Ghana’s first truly eco-conscious communities.
These aren’t conventional homes with token green features. They are communities built with eco-friendly cement and other sustainable materials, powered by advanced solar-grid systems, and designed with circular water systems that recycle and reuse resources efficiently.
Naji-lal isn’t just building houses—she’s redefining what sustainable living can look like in Ghana.
From Architecture Student to Green Developer
Naji-lal’s journey began the way many great architects’ do — with a school notebook full of building sketches and big dreams. That early fascination grew into a passion strong enough to take her to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, where she studied architecture and crossed paths with Cephas, now her business partner, co-founder of ArXyn Development Limited, and one of her closest collaborators.
But for Naji-lal, designing striking buildings wasn’t the end goal. She wanted to understand how those ideas could be brought to life — not just on paper, but on the ground. That drive took her to the United Kingdom, where she pursued a master’s degree in Construction Project Management at Nottingham Trent University. It was there that her vision crystallised: to pioneer green, sustainable building in a way that could truly reshape communities back home in Ghana.
A Company Born from Conviction
What makes ArXyn Development stand out isn’t just its eco-friendly branding; it’s the commitment to rethinking how entire communities are built. Every project swaps out conventional, high-impact methods for eco-friendly cement and other sustainable materials that dramatically cut down on environmental damage while still delivering strength and quality.
Power is drawn from a hybrid system that blends solar energy with the national grid, keeping costs low and ensuring reliability. Water is treated as a renewable resource too — collected, purified, and circulated back into the community for everything from household use to drinking.
And here’s the real innovation: in ArXyn’s vision, waste doesn’t exist. Every material gets a second life — rubbish is sorted and recycled, some of it repurposed into new building materials or converted into biogas to power the community. It’s a self-sustaining ecosystem designed to support people and the planet alike.
The Heart of a Green Estate
For Naji-lal, green communities are about far more than planting trees — they’re about building communities where people genuinely connect.
Her vision brings together thoughtfully designed spaces: rooftop cafés, shared workspaces, gyms, kids’ play areas, and tree-lined pathways. The goal is simple: create opportunities for neighbours to meet, mingle, and enjoy life together, instead of retreating behind closed doors.
Security is built in, not as an afterthought. Key card access, CCTV, and smart home technology provide peace of mind, but the real safety comes from a community that watches out for one another, fostering a sense of trust and belonging.
The Flagship and the Big Dream
ArXyn’s first project in Haatso may be modest in scale, but it’s big on ambition. Dubbed Naji-lal’s “baby project,” it features:
Three three-bedroom townhouses with rooftop terraces
Four two-bedroom townhouses
A 14-unit apartment complex including lofts, one- and two-bedroom flats
Retail and communal spaces, such as a gym and shops
Haatso is where ArXyn is testing systems, refining processes, and proving the concept of eco-conscious, human-centered communities.
The Team Behind the Vision
Behind Naji-lal is a growing team of over 30 experts bringing her vision to life. Co-founder Cephas drives the design innovation, while strategic partner Kelvin Azure, founder of MaaSim EcoGreen Homes, ensures every project meets the highest sustainability standards.
Kelvin brings expertise in eco-friendly, practical housing solutions — from renewable energy and rainwater systems to sustainable materials — keeping ArXyn at the forefront of green construction and climate-conscious urban living.
The team is made up of talented professionals, and while women are currently underrepresented, Naji-lal is committed to creating more opportunities and welcomes applications from women and young people.
Why It Matters
For Naji-lal, this isn’t just about profit — though sustainable development clearly makes good business sense. Her true mission is to transform how Ghanaians think about housing, community, and the environment.
I don’t want to just build homes. I want to build a future that doesn’t cost the earth; that is why we call it, Ghana’s first Green Community.

At an age when most are still figuring out their paths, Naji-lal is already reshaping Ghana’s property landscape. She’s actively seeking investors, partners, and collaborators who want to join her green revolution.
This is what happens when someone refuses to wait for change — and chooses to be the change instead. With ArXyn Development, it’s clear that Naji-lal is just getting started.
