Mercedes and Lufthansa team up to create luxury airplane

German automobile company, Mercedes and German airline carrier, Lufthansa Technik have joined forces to create the ultimate luxury plane.

Speaking on the collaboration, Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President VIP and Executive Jet Solutions for Lufthansa said:

“Our goal is to offer a highly discerning global clientele a standard of interior design that leaves nothing to be desired, whether for private or business use, our modular completion concept perfectly fits every purpose.”

The luxury airplane was unveiled at the 2015 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva this week, in order to gauge the market's reaction to the high-end craft.

According to Mashable, although much of the design is still a concept, fans of Mercedes' S-Class will see some familiar features, such as windows concealed by black panels, and screens that appear to float in front of windows.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz Magic Sky technology allows the panels to be dimmed from black to transparent.
