NHIS inherited debt cleared - Nana Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revealed that his administration is reviving the strength of the <a id="03f575aa-f5f5-419f-828e-4940fef9aeee" href="https://www.pulse.com.gh/ece-frontpage/contradiction-nana-addo-hasnt-paid-ghcent1-billion-nhis-debt-service-providers/g46eqcq">National Health Insurance Scheme</a> (NHIS), which was being strangled by debt.

According to him, the government has paid GH¢1 billion out of the GH¢1.2 billion debt inherited from the previous administration.

He made this known during the presentation of his third State of the Nation Address in Parliament.
"Our NHIS is bright. Debt has been paid and the the NHIS has been brought to life," he added.
