Papa John Says He's Eaten in 40 Pizzas in 30 Days, Which Seems Like a Lot
Ive had over 40 pizzas in the last 30 days, and its not the same pizza, the pizza chains former CEO and all-around controversial guy John Schnatter said in an interview with Fox affiliate . Its not the same product. It just doesnt taste as good. The way theyre making the pizza is just not fundamental to what makes a Papa Johns pizza.
As a reminder, Schnatter resigned in July 2018 after using a racial slur in a . He has also been accused of , and general behavior greasier than a slice of Papa John's Bacon Cheeseburger.
If eating 40 pizzas in 30 days sounds like a ridiculous claim, that's because it is. Rather than calling into question Papa Johns ingredients, Schnatter has instead called into question his own diet. If you thought you were a pizza aficionado, youve apparently got nothing on the OG Papa John.

Eating 40 pizzas in a month is a feat. But just how calorically cataclysmic is doing so? Thankfully, Papa Johns has a to help clear up any questions.
Since Papa Johns is always inexplicably pushing their medium one-topping pizzas, lets assume Papa went that route, giving in to the gimmick he created. One can imagine Schnatter as a dual layer pepperoni kind of guyslightly boring and predictable, but also over-the-top and generally disgusting. He also probably went with original crust over thin crust or gluten-free crust to retain any respectability he has left.
A single slice of Papa Johns medium-size pepperoni pizza on original crust is 260 calories. With eight slices per pie, that is a whopping 2,080 calories per pizza.
Just FYI, some say an active man needs to eat about , meaning this single pizza is almost maxing out your intake. So our boy was probably eating just pizzas that month, if we are to believe him.
Eating 40 pizzas in one month would equal 83,200 total calories. The average man is expected to eat 84,000 calories per month.
Here's hoping Schnatter squeezed in some fruit and vegetables with those remaining 800 calories.
