Heavy downpour causes severe flooding in Accra

Torrential rainfall on Tuesday has led to flooding in parts of Accra.

The continuous downpour since 4am, has rendered many roads almost impassable and also caused heavy vehicular traffic.

Areas in the capital city which have been hit by the floods and vehicular traffic include Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Kaneshie, Dansoman as well as Spintex.  Reports suggest that the entrance of the Supreme Court is flooded due to leakages at the Appeals Court.

A primary school girl has reportedly drowned at Dansoman.
