Ruby shot a video of the panic attack as police cars and helicopters swarmed her house in search for the man. She narrated the clip, saying ... "Policemen ... looking for a f**king gunman."

Ruby Rose almost got attacked in her own house by a mystery armed man.

The 'Orange Is The New Black' actress spotted a gunman in her backyard in Los Angeles on July 22 before ringing the alarm for help.

She also live tweeted the incident throughout the search writing: "This is petrifying. Helicopters, police, dogs ... and a crazy person"

Ruby later announced that the gunman was eventually arrested and she deleted all her tweets about the incident.

It's unclear if the suspect was trying to get into her house or was just running through the neighborhood. Either way ... it was obviously a scary night for the new movie sensation.
