National Sports Authority denies demanding 30k from Stephen Appiah

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has debunked claims that it demanded Gh¢30, 000 from organizers of the June 27 testimonial game for former Black Stars player, <strong>Stephen Appiah</strong> to have access to the Accra Sports Stadium.

There were reports that the NSA had slapped a hefty GHS 30,000 (about $6,833) fee on organizers of the Stephen Appiah Testimonial match for the use of the Accra Sports Stadium. But the director of the NSA, Joe Kpenge, speaking to Starr Sports said they are rather charging a non-negotiable rate of GH¢20,000.He also indicated that the NSA will take care of the security bills during the game. Mr. Kpenge clarified that the GH¢30,000 sum being reported is charges for football events.
