Thomas Partey joins SPL club Al-Shabab on free transfer
Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with his former club.
Partey has signed a one-year contract with Al-Shabab and is reportedly set to earn around $4.5 million annually as he begins a new chapter in the Saudi league.

The move sees the experienced midfielder bring his wealth of European football experience to Al-Shabab as the club looks to strengthen its squad and improve its performances in domestic competitions.
Al-Shabab's management is currently reshaping the squad following a difficult start to the season in the Roshn Saudi League and King's Cup, with Partey viewed as an important addition to the midfield.
The Ghana international is expected to provide greater stability, defensive strength and experience in the middle of the pitch as the club seeks to turn its fortunes around.
Partey's registration is also expected to lead to changes within Al-Shabab's squad, with the Ghanaian reportedly set to take the place of Swiss midfielder Vincent Sierro on the club's youth registration list.
The 33-year-old midfielder brings considerable experience from his time in European football, particularly in the Premier League, where he established himself as one of Ghana's most prominent players.
