The NDC chairman is alleged to have authorised four people to pull down a structure belonging to one Vincent Xordo which was at the fountain level

The South Tongu constituency chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Sackle, has been remanded in police custody.

Mr. Sackle is alleged to have authorised four people to pull down a structure belonging to one Vincent Xordo which was at the fountain level. According to reports, Mr. Sackle was claiming ownership of that piece of land at Dabala-Junction.

The Dabala magistrate court in the Volta region has adjourned the case to Friday, May 22, 2015.

According to Starrfmonline.com, a divisional chief of Anyigbe-Agave, Torgbui Abordor, narrating the incident to Starr News’ Volta regional correspondent, Lambert Atsivor, noted that the land in question belongs to his clan but has been given to the complainant to establish a prayer camp.

“Sackle, the current chairman of NDC in the South Tongu constituency authorized four people to destroy one Vincent Xordo’s property at Dabala-Junction so the complainant reported the case at Dabala police station.

“The station officer sent the case to the district commander at Sogakorfe where they charged the suspects and sent them to the Dabala magistrate court where they were remanded”.
