She grew up without her biological parents and was raised by her grandparent and brothers. But, as a child Stacy Amewoyi, always had the eye for hard work. Even though, she enjoys working, she was forced to experience different traumatic moments in life that nearly brought her to the point of suicide. She used to be street hawker, petty trader and sometimes had no choice than to sleep in the market places at the mercy of mosquitoes, thieves, rapists, and even heavy rains.

Speaking to Stacy over phone; she admitted the emotional pains she has to overcome before finally deciding to write about her own life to inspire others who find themselves in such situations.

‘’I have seen a lot in this life, my eyes have always been full of tears anytime a I remember my past, however, I’m grateful to God for that strength to fight on,’’ She said.

‘’It’s hard to explain your situation to people because no one understands you better than yourself, and I pray this book changes someone’s life out there, and encourage them not to succumb to traumatic events in life,’’ continued.

‘’The King’s Choice’’ also revealed the betrayal she suffered in the hands of family members and friends, portion of them misusing monies she sent from the states for different projects in Ghana. Others stole most of the goods she shipped down to run her orphanage homes. None of these have affected her love for orphans and wanting the world to be a better place for the next generation to never face what she went through.

Stacy Amewoyi rose to become an established author and philanthropist, a feat she took constant determination and hard work to achieve; she grew up as an orphan. She dedicated her entire life to helping the less privileged in society via her Stacy M. Foundation for the past twenty-something years, which commitment towards improving the lives of these children across Ghana hasn’t faded. She has disclosed her intention to build state of the art shelters in Ghana to house a lot of street children, providing basic education, vocational training, and more. Even though she has admitted the difficulty associated with all these philanthropic decisions without any external support, it’s a burning desire that can’t be stopped.
