Department of Defense creates cyber-unit in partnership with Tech companies

In a move to forestall further cyber-attacks from external forces, the United states Government is partnering with Top Tech companies in Silicon Valley to create a cyber-unit.

You will recall that the secretary of Defense- Ash Carter accused Russia for masterminding a cyber-attack recently on the Pentagon.

In a move to combat these cyberthreats,the United States Government, through the Department of Defense has decided to partner with Tech companies in Silicon Valley to spearhead the war against cyberthreats.

A unit called Defense Innovation Unit X has been setup inside the Department of Defense(DOD) and its staff will comprise of active-duty military personnel and reserves.

Carter said "They'll strengthen existing relationships and build new ones; help scout for new technologies; and help function as a local interface for the department.”

Carter also added that there are great opportunities that abound in the new partnership between the Pentagon and Silicon Valley.
