Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Remove a 'Century Egg' Cyst from a Man's Shoulder
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD removes an encapsulated cyst resembling a century egg from a mans shoulder. The cyst, which protrudes from his shoulder like a skin-covered golf ball, has been growing on the patient for 15 years. And in cyst years, that definitely a century by the looks of it.
In the sped-up clip, Dr. Lee pokes and prods at an encapsulated cyst on a patients shoulder, working it free from attached inner structures. The skilled dermatologist is able to remove the cyst cleanly, leaving no trace of the growth behind. And then comes the fun part.
Dr. Pimple Popper shows the cyst to the patient right after removal. Its still encapsulated in its sac wall , which is good news for the patient. Removing a cysts entire sac wall greatly decreases the chance it will grow back, which is the ultimate goal.
After showing the full encapsulate cyst to the patient, Dr. Lee says the magic words: Were going to cut through it. Of course we are!
She uses a scalpel to cut the growth in half, squeezing out its wet mound of contents. She tells the patient that the epidermoid cyst is made up of dead skin and keratin thats been tucked under the patients shoulder for 15 years.
It was very perfect, Dr. Lee says of the cyst. You have a perfect one. Arent you proud?
