Manchester United captain goes back to school

Wayne Rooney found himself back to school on Friday, May 1 as he watch his son collect an achievement award.

The Manchester United captain dad watched as his eldest son Kai was presented with an achievement certificate during the primary school assembly.

The proud dad shared the moment on Facebook.

"Great seeing Kai pick up his achievement certificate at his assembly before training this morning," Rooney wrote alongside a photo of him and Kai.

Rooney's wife Coleen gave birth to Kai in November 2009.

The couple's second child, Klay Anthony, was born in May 2013
