Aboakyir festival in pictures

The Climax of the 2016 Aboakyir festioval is currently on going in Winniba in the Central Region.

The Aboakyer festival is one of the popular and memorable festivals in the country which is celebrated by the Effutus in Winneba

The festival,  began on May 2 this year. It is believed  to have originated about 300 years ago when Efutu people occupied their present home along the Coast.

This morning's deer hunting contest which is a very significant part of the festival  was won by the Dentsifo.  The Tuafo group were not able to find a deer.
