How to prepare chicken curry

A typical Chicken curry consists of chicken stew in an onion and tomato -based sauce, flavored with ginger.

Ingredients

Sliced chicken breasts

Large onions

cloves of garlic

A pinch of salt

A pinch of sugar

3 tablespoons of curry powder

1 tablespoon of Chinese five spice mix

1 liter (0.3 US gal) chicken stock

1 and a half tablespoons cornflour

METHOD

Heat some oil in a deep pan

Cook the chicken until coloured

Remove chicken from pan

Heat some more oil in the pan

Soften the garlic and onions

Add the curry powder and the Chinese five spice mix

Cook for 3 minutes

Add all of the stock

Add the salt and sugar

Thicken to liking with the cornflour

Add the chicken and simmer for 10 minutes
