This Guy Ended Up Locked Inside a 24 Hour Fitness and He Is Well Aware of the Irony

"I am literally locked inside 24 hour fitness right now," Hill wrote in a Facebook post from his phone. "They closed the doors and went home while I was swimming my laps in the pool. Doesn't the name suggests that they stay open 24 hours? Walking around trying to figure out how to get out. I called Sandy dispatch. They told me they'd call me back. I called my wife, she said find a comfortable place to sleep. LOL."

Hill had been unaware that despite the name of the gym, the opening hours for 24 Hour Fitness actually changed last month.

"So, I called dispatch and the guy pauses for like 10 seconds and says, 'Youre where?'" he told ABC4 . "And I said, 'Im in 24 Hour Fitness, and theres an alarm system here and I dont want to get busted for breaking and entering.'"

"I just thought it was funny at the start," Hill told ABC6 . "You know, it was kind of like Home Alone, like 'Oh my gosh, I have this gym to myself.'"

Hill was eventually liberated from 24 Hour Fitness by three understanding police officers, who posed with him in a selfie which he later posted to Facebook with the caption: "Free at last! Free at last! Thanks to three nice cops I am free at last."
