Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Squeeze Chunky Ricotta From a Cheek Cyst

This ain't your grandma's cheek pinch. In a new YouTube video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD removes a large cheek cyst and a stray blackhead from a patient with predictable precision. And the contents may remind you of your last Italian meal.

In the clip, Dr. Lee explains that today's patient previously had a cyst on her cheek that was removed. But the bothersome growth grew back with a vengeance, leaving Dr. Pimple Popper to take on the task of draining it once and for all.

She does not want this back and neither do I, Dr. Lee says in the video.

In the video, Dr. Lee makes an incision then deflates the cyst with a simple squeeze. The cyst contents are white and chunky, somewhat resembling ricotta cheese. Dr. Pimple Popper then removes the cysts sac wall , which greatly decreases the chance of this patient ever having to deal with the cyst again. After stitching up the patient, Dr. Lee removes a stray blackhead for good measure. All in a days work.

The cyst featured in this video is an epidermoid cyst , according to the video description. This type of growth which is often filled with skin cells and keratin commonly occurs on the face, neck, and back. Besides often being cosmetically undesirable, epidermoid cysts can be easily irritated and tender, making removal an appealing option.

In the video, Dr. Lee even gives some insight into the reason behind her talkative bedside manner. She tells the patient that she often talks to drown out the noises of the procedure. That's especially valuable during this pop, since the cyst is right near the patient's ear.
