Several parts of Accra, including Kaneshie, Abossey Okai, Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, Nima Highway, Tantra Hill, have been flooded.

The downpour caused some drains to overflow their channels.

Waste materials, particularly plastic bottles swam effortlessly in the Odaw River.

Vehicles and passengers had to struggle their way out of the flood waters.

The rain started at about 5:00 am Tuesday morning.

The rains accounted for the submerging of roads, houses and cars in various areas of the city.
