The 35-year-old is vying to become the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
Speaking on what the future holds should he be elected a legislator, Dumelo said would combine his Parliamentary works with his acting career.
“I’m sure parliamentary work or duties would take much of my time but yes once in a while I’ll still work on movies,” he said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

Dumelo explained that, just like other MPs who are doctors and lawyers, he can equally continue with his acting career when elected into Parliament.
“When you go to Parliament, you have lawyers still practicing law and doctors still practicing medicine. You have businessmen and women doing their businesses who are still Parliamentarians, so it is just fair for me to say that yes, I will still probably be acting,” he added.
The actor began his political career a few years ago, but has quickly risen up the ladder in Ghana’s politics.
Dumelo is currently the parliamentary aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
He became the party’s parliamentary candidate after securing 758 votes, representing over 88% of the total votes cast during the primaries.
Dumelo has already hit the ground running with his campaign ahead of next year’s general elections.
Some weeks ago, he was also spotted campaigning and interacting with some traders at the Tesano Santana market.
