In an interview with Okay FM, the 'Let Me Know' singer said "Kuami Eugene started stealing songs before me, he has a scholarship in it" in a reply to Abeiku Santana who said the two of them have been steaking songs.

According to Mr Drew, the 'Open Gate' singer paved the way for them "but the thing is that we don't steal songs, it is all about creativity".
The singer signed on the Highly Spiritual Music record label, received backlash in 2020 over song theft accusation after he released 'Eat' which was deleted on YouTube over copyright reasons as the song matched that of Rotimi's 'Love Riddim' track.

However, Mr Drew explains that it wasn't theft because the song was released as a "cover" which is accepted in the music fraternity. Watch the video below to hear more from him.
