Medikal in a tweet on Sunday 17, 2021 mentioned that he will soon buy a private jet.
“I go buy a private jet!” the “Omo Ada” hitmaker tweeted.
His tweet generated lots of reactions from his followers. His colleague musician Joey B could not hide his joy and said it is time he says goodbye to Delta.
Joey B got a retweet from Medikal who swore to have a convoy of private jets in the azure skies.
“I swear, we go do convoy for the sky inside.”
Medikal is one of the richest Ghanaian musicians, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to afford a brand new jet aircraft that ranges between $3 and $90 million.
Though secondhand jets are cheaper, they still cost millions of dollars. For perspective, a pre-owned Gulfstream G450 costs around $14.75 million on the Gulfstream website.
The cheapest private jet on the market is the small but mighty Cirrus Vision Jet at $1.96 million. The Vision Jet is the world’s first single-engine private jet, powered by a Williams International FJ33-5A turbofan engine that produces 1,800lbs of thrust.
Aside from Ghanaian businessmen like Alhaji Asumah Banda, Ibrahim Mahama, and Daniel McKorley, no musician in Ghana owns a private jet even though a few of them have flown in before.
Meanwhile in Nigeria, Davido, Wizkid, Don Jazzy, Dj Cuppy are all musicians that can boast of their own bizjets.
