The rift between the two friends began in 2020 after Mona Gucci labeled Moesha Boduong as an 'international slay queen' during an interview on Neat FM. Moesha responded on social media, criticizing Mona's fashion sense and indirectly addressing the 'slay queen' label.

In February 2024, news emerged that Moesha had suffered a stroke, confirmed by her brother, Ebito Boduong, who initiated a fundraising campaign for her medical expenses.

Despite the outpouring of support from various celebrities and fans, Mona Gucci chose to distance herself from fundraising efforts or any public display of support.

During an appearance on the 'Ladies Circle' show on TV3, Mona Gucci explained her stance, stating, 'When my friend Moesha's issue arose, people questioned why I wasn't speaking out. The day I discussed slay queens, Moesha herself was the first to criticize me.'

She continued, 'So, if today Moesha is facing difficulties and there's a need to raise funds for her, why would you expect me to speak up? She has already condemned me, so why would I advocate for her? This is something I won't do.'

As Moesha's health crisis intensifies, her brother has taken proactive measures to tackle the growing medical expenses.

To alleviate the financial burden, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched, aiming to raise $10,000 to assist with Moesha's medical requirements.

A recently surfaced video serves as a stark reminder of the gravity of Moesha's situation, offering a visual depiction of the challenges she is currently confronting.

In response to the distressing situation, Moesha's brother, Ebito Boduong, issued a statement shedding light on the gravity of her health condition. The statement, released on January 22, 2024, appeals for public assistance in covering Moesha's medical bills, emphasizing the impact of the stroke on her mobility and speech.

"My sister Moesha Boduong has recently experienced a life-altering stroke, and her journey to recovery has just begun. The impact of the stroke on her life has been immense, affecting her mobility, speech, and overall quality of life," shared Ebito.

To facilitate support for Moesha's rehabilitation journey, Ebito detailed the allocation of funds, mentioning their utilization for medical expenses, therapy sessions, assistive devices, and any other resources vital for her recovery.
