The 2020 edition of the Commonwealth Day service was held at Westminster Abbey on Monday, March 9, with events across five continents including flag parades, church services, poetry mornings, dance performances and much more.
This yearâs event was centred around the theme 'Delivering a Common Future', highlighting how the 54 member countries in the Commonwealth family are âinnovating, connecting and transformingâ to help achieve some of its biggest goals like protecting natural resources and boosting trade.
UK-born Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua was among the top speakers at the ceremony but Ghanaâs Kwame Yeboah didnât go unnoticed.

Backing with a simple guitar, Kwame joined two-time Grammy nominee Craig David to perform his 2017 hit song, âUnbelievableâ, and received massive applauds and cheers from the royal family.
He said in an Instagram post: âDelightfully surprised to be requested to perform for her Majesty The Queen IIâ.
Kwame wasnât the only Ghanaian who entertained the royal family. UK-based Ghanaian drummer Abass Dodoo also thrilled the crowd.
