VIDEO: MTN Hitmaker prizes unfair, Kuami Eugene wouldn't have excel if not for Richie – Awal

Famed Talented Kids Season One Contestant, Awal Mohammed, has expressed his disappointment in the prize package MTN Hitmaker offers its winners.

Awal

According to Awal, who contested in the recent MTN Hitmaker Season 7, the reality show has a strategy of the winner takes all and he doesn’t think that’s a good move to support the other finalists.

“I didn’t get a price and that’s the problem I am having, in my opinion, I think the strategy of the winner takes all isn’t good, at least the second should also get something at least to kick start the career or to do something for himself after the show” he said.

He added that what that means is that after the competition if you don’t get any label to be interested in you, then it means you’ll sleep at home with your talent.

Using Kuami Eugene as an example, he mentioned that the Rockstar wouldn’t have seen a commercial music success if not for Richie Mensah signing him on to his Lynx Entertainment record label because though Eugene was a finalist too he was virtually given nothing that could boost his career apart from the exposure he earned.

According to Awal who was speaking on “Day Break Hitz” he would have made the same comments should he have even won the won the competition.

The Rapper revealed that he, however, had some packages from the sponsors but things like credit and phone won’t do anything to his career and called on the organizers to review their winning prize packages.
