Get ripped arms and abs with this simple ladder workout

Build a superhero torso with only two moves.

Want to build your best body in the shortest amount of time? Then you need to push it to the limit — and by that we mean you need to exhaust your muscles during your workouts.

A great way to do that is a ladder workout like the one Nick Corey, owner and trainer at Build N’ Box, shows us in the video above (and not ladder as in the thing you climb up).

“I’m going to be showing you a workout where you can kill two birds with one stone,” he says. “You’re going to be doing a pull-up where you hit your shoulders, your back, and your arms, and you’re also going to be doing knee raises where you hit your abs.”

That seems like a lot — and it is. The easiest way to get through the workout is to pick a scheme that works for you. The one Corey uses in the video is a ladder, which we recommend. That means you’ll do a pull-up, then a knee raise. Then two pull-ups, two-knee raises, and on and on until you’ve done about 10 or so. Then you work your way back down to one.

It’s a simple but effective scheme with guaranteed results. The pull-up/knee raise combo works your entire torso—from your back to your arms and shoulders and abs—so you’ll be seeing some bulk in no time.

Pack on massive muscle and get shredded with the Maximus Body method—intense workouts that will get you working harder than you have ever worked before.
