Iceberg, dead ahead! In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD pops an iceberg-like earlobe cyst. The cyst is comparable to an iceberg because theres much more underneath the surface than youd first expect. Ear cysts can be tricky like that.

In the clip, Dr. Lee nicks the surface of the ear cyst to give the contents an avenue of escape. There is more blood than youd usually expect in pops of this kind, which Dr. Lee explains is because the patient takes blood thinners. But you still get to see a ribbon of contents come squirting out of the growth.

A particularly fun part about this clip is the sassy banter between Dr. Lee and the patient. Dr. Pimple Popper explains that the older man is a repeat patient, and they often tease each other back and forth.

It is a cyst, Dr. Lee tells the patient when she first squeezes the growth. But I dont know why you couldnt squeeze it out there much. You must not be too strong.

I was ready to take my hunting knife to it the patient responds cheekily.

The cyst is likely epidermoid cyst , which contains a collection of wet dead skin cells and keratin . They can occur on the face, neck and body, which includes the ear.

I did not expect that from that little thing, one fan commented. Another added, Wow, that was a lot more than I expected.
