I’ve put together a team of experts to procure COVID-19 vaccine in Ghana -Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has given the assurance that Ghana will have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the President speaking during his 20th national address on the pandemic on Sunday, December 20, 2020, he is aware of the “anxiety related to the safety and efficacy of the newly developed vaccines”.

Accordingly, he emphasized that “Government will ensure that the Covid-19 vaccines to be deployed in the country are effective and are safe”.

To this end, he detailed the government has put together a team of experts from stakeholder institutions and agencies who are “working assiduously towards the procurement and deployment of the vaccines in Ghana”.

According to the President, the Ministry of Information in the coming days give more details about Government’s intention to procure the vaccine for the country.
