Some Ghanaians have said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has not been firm enough in ruling the country since he took over in 2017.

President Nana Dankwa Addo Akufo-Addo has come under intense and ever-rising pressure from a section of the public.

At the beginning of his tenure as President, he promised to end galamsey in the country even if it meant putting his presidency on the line.

A number of controversies have arisen under his administration.

Some of the promises he promised to implement prior to the 2016 elections have not been fulfilled.

He promised to end galamsey in the country but some members of his government are engaged in the activity.

However, after nearly the end of his first term in office, the canker still persists.

He promised to build 350 senior high schools when he comes to power but that has not been implemented.

In 2018, he promised that the government will build a new oil refinery in Takoradi.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also tagged the year 2020 as the "Year of Roads."

According to him, his government would embark on an aggressive road development across Ghana but nothing has been seen.

Ghana is left with fourteen days to the general elections and a rather sensitive time for the President to be seen as shielding perceived corrupt deals within the government he leads, especially when it involves persons publicly known to be close to him.

Many scandals happened, though, the government was able to scale through most of them since it took over ruling the country, it has left stains on their mantra.

Some of the scandals that happened during his tenure include the BOST contaminated fuel scandal, breaking of laws by vigilante groups of the NPP, US$2.25 billion bond saga, bloated government with 110 ministers of state, GH¢800k website saga, Kelni-GVG, Australia 2018 21st Commonwealth games visa scandal, Contracts for sale by the CEO of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Adjenim Boateng Adjei.

The rest are the procurement breaches at the National Youth Authority, PDS scandal, and Agyapa Royalties deal just to name a few.

However, Ghanaians took to social media and trolled the President over his failed promises and the scandals that happened under his presidency.

Pulse.com.gh explains why Nana Addo and the government are trending on Twitter over how the government has been so abysmal within the 4 years in office than any administration in spite of receiving so many financial resources than any other government.

If Ghanaians decide to hold the NPP government to the fire of accountability, Nana Addo will not get the confidence to say that he fought corruption despite setting up the Special Prosecutor.

Nana Addo has nothing to show for all the borrowed monies and the financial resources at his disposal.

Aside from the abysmal performance, again the 125 ministers and deputies have crippled the economy as their monthly salaries are exorbitant compared to the previous administrations.

Nana Addo has not been able to keep his campaign promise of not forming a family and friends government.

Here are Tweets by some Ghanaians why Nana Addo is a scam.
