Believe it or not, a good number of Ghanaians are superstitious. We have in one way or the other heard scary stories of what happens especially at night.
A recent story posted on Pulse.com.gh was a taxi driver who claimed to have picked up a ghost in broad daylight.According to the driver, named Isaac Agyiri, he picked up a mysterious man from Abelemkpe with Lapaz as the destination

During the drive, on an almost empty N1 Highway, the man apparently vanished into thin air. (That was a little bit bizzare considering that most of us thought ghost appear only at night ) .
So based on this Pulse.com.gh decided to speak some taxi drivers about the awkward encounters they have when they work at night.

Being a taxi driver is not an easy occupation. It comes with it’s own ‘wahala’, as we like to say. Apart from the high fuel cost, there’s the endless list of little things to fix just to keep the car on the road. Then there are the weird customer experiences.
Pulse Ghana’s Alice Adu took to the streets of East Legon to find out if there are more of such bizarre taxi tales.
And this is what some taxi drivers had to say…
“I had to threaten some Nigerian passengers with a screwdriver to get my money after they had picked me for a dropping from zongo junction to presec, it wasn't easy at all and this im saying happened around 9pm”, Kwadwo Anane Kumi.

Another driver, Abeiku added that “on my first encounter with armed robbers, God revealed to me, so I quickly dropped them. They got really furious and it even looked like my life was in danger because where l had dropped them was dangerous but I didn’t mind and sped off quickly”.

“ I think many drivers don't watch whether passengers have boarded the car or not, after they have packed their things at the boot of the car, my fellow drivers don't even watch if the passengers sat in the car, then they speed off and they get afraid when they turn and realise that there is no one inside the car” Mr. Ansah a driver added.
