Dauda Mohammed has scored the fastest goal of the season. It came under one (1) minute against Dreams FC at Dawu on match day 8

Charles Boateng was the first player to score a goal this season, when his opener aided WAFA to edge Kotoko 2-0, with Samuel Tetteh scoring the other in the opening day of the Ghana Premier League

The leading top scorer is Latif Blessing of Liberty Professionals with seven (7) goals

The first hat-trick of the season was registered by Samuel Tetteh on match day 3 when WAFA thrashed Hasaacas 5-0. Yahaya Mohammed has registered the second hat-trick of the season, after hitting 3 past Hasaacas on match day 8

Statistics peculiar to match day 8

Asante Kotoko recorded their first away league victory by ending Dreams FC’s unbeaten home run in the league at Dawu. The Porcupine Warriors prior to the game had lost all their three away league games.

Dauda Mohammed goal against Dreams FC is the fastest goal of the season. It came in 30 seconds of play.

Dreams FC suffered their first home defeat of the season. They had won 2 and drawn 1 of their 3 previous home league before the mid-week.

Wa All Stars were the only side unbeaten until match day 8, but Bechem United shattered that feat.

Hearts of Oak’s fire power is down, after WAFA held them to a 1-1 draw in Accra. They have gone three consecutive league games without a win.

Yahaya Mohammed scored his first Ghana Premier League hat-trick against Hasaacas in the mid-week. It is the 2 hat-trick registered in the season.

The 20 goals recorded on match day 8 are the second highest goals scored on a match day.
