CAF inspect venue ahead of the next year’s grand tournament to be held in Ghana

The Confederation of African Football have embarked on an inspection of the various venues and related facilities to host the 2018 African Women’s World Cup.

The delegation arrived on 2nd Saturday, 2018 and commenced the exercise on Sunday. The LOC took the CAF officials to the Cape Coast to inspect the Cape Coast Stadium.

The delegation then moved to also have a look at the Glow Lamp Academy and the Robert Mensah stadium which are to be used as training facilities.

On Monday, 4th December will have hospitals, hotel facilities and other ancillary services like that of transport to be used for the tournament inspected.

CAF will be on the lookout for these earlier mentioned facilities to meet their standards.

The CAF officials will be around for 5 days. The officials will then move to Accra to as well monitor the progress with the Accra Sports Stadium and other facilities in Accra ahead of the tournament to take place in a year’s time.

Ghana will host the tournament from 17th November to 1st December 2018.

Ghana are yet to win the tournament after finishing runners up to 10 time winners Nigeria in 1998 and 2002.

The Black Queens of Ghana will be hoping to triumph in the 2018 edition since its being played on home soil for the first time
