Nigerian Afro-pop star, Davido seems to be in his compassionate mood. Just a few weeks after he promised to attend a fans birthday party, he has promised to fund a Nigerian writer to attend this years THREAD programme at Yale University.

The writer who is known as David Adeleke tweeted his Gofundme campaign on Twitter to get help from potential donors and to his surprise, Davido accepted to fund him.

Davido quoted Adeleke's tweet with the message: "We get d same name .. I no get choice lol DM ME."

Upon seeing Davido's tweet, Adeleke reacted by tweeting: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

David Adeleke had raised $1,472 of $3,500 GoFundMe goal when Davido offered to fund him to pursue the media workshop at Yale University.

This means, Davido will have to pay an amount of $2,028 to help Adeleke reach his goal.

THREAD at Yale is a gathering of professional journalists and storytellers that does not care whether participants work in print, video, audio, photography, or some form the university haven’t even thought of yet.

At the program, a small group of storytellers will gather for three days and nights to learn from masters in the field and from each other.
