According to his manager, Ashes, the decision does not suggest that the artiste is a coward.
“Where I stand, I don’t think he [Kwabena Kwabena] will be part of the vigil. It is not to say he is a coward; but we will not be part of it…” he said on Hitz FM’s Easy Listeningwith Andy Dosty.
The vigil which will be held at Green Park opposite the Villagio at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange, according to organisers, is a non-partisan event which seeks to give an amplified voice of the many Ghanaians who are afflicted by the phenomenon of the current power cuts in the country.
Celebrities expected to join the May 16 vigil include Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, Ama K. Abebrese, DKB, Kweku Elliot, D-Black, Eddie Watson, Becca, Deborah Vanessa, Efya, Kwaw Kese, EL, Nikki Samonas, Van Vicker, XO Senavoe, Confidence Haugen and many more.
